Auditions for 2014-2015 will be held the first week of class, with our first rehearsal Monday, September 1, at 3:30 p.m.
Sign up sheets are in the hallway outside Dr. Ward's door (WPAC 129).
Low stress audition - please bring something prepared to play, a solo or etude of your choice, region or all-state audition etude, etc., and prepare the following short excerpts that are below. These excerpts are from A Night on Bald Mountain by Moussorgsky. Recordings are readily available on Spotify, YouTube, iTunes, and Naxos online available through the library.
Strings - Audition is for seating in the group only, not for membership.
Woodwinds & Brass - Generally speaking the instrumentation woodwinds in pairs is 4 horns, 3 trumpets, 3 trombones (including bass trombone), and 1 tuba.
Percussion - assignments are made by Dr. Ward and Dr. Teel. If you are interested in playing please communicate with them.
