The ACU Wind Ensemble is comprised of outstanding undergraduate wind and percussion players on the ACU campus. Including almost equal numbers of music and non-music majors, the ACU Wind Ensemble presents many local and statewide concerts. The Wind Ensemble maintains a very active performance schedule. Annual tours throughout Texas include performances in high schools, churches and other concert venues. Recent performances include concerts at the Wortham Center in Houston, the Meyerson Center in Dallas, the 2005 Texas Music Educators Association in San Antonio, and the 2006 Southwest Division Conference of the College Band Directors National Association. In it's history, the Wind Ensemble has performed at six TMEA conferences and three CBDNA conferences. In the Spring of 2009, the Wind Ensemble will take an international tour and Spring Break campaign to Brazil, with performances planned in Rio de Janiero, Ouro Preto, and Manaus.
