Wind Ensemble Concert Tour and Spring Break Campaign

Spring semester of 2010 was an exciting semester for the Wind Ensemble, as we enjoyed a spring break concert tour of Brazil. This was an incredible experience for all of us and the first time the ACU band program had toured out of the US in approximately 40 years. In addition to performing in incredible venues, sight seeing and experiencing an exciting culture, we will also volunteered and served a church in Salvador.

Itinerary

Wed March 10 - Leave Abilene, homestays with the Goodwood Church of Christ in Baton Rouge. LA
Fri March 12 - Fly overnight to Rio from Miami
Sat March 13 - Arrive in Rio for sightseeing including a visit to Corcovado Mountain and peform at the Candelaria Church
Sun March 14 - Sight seeing and evening concert in Petropolis at the Palecio de Cristal
Mon March 15 - Travel to Ouro Preto
Tues March 16 - Concert in Ouro Preto at the Teatro de Ouro Preto
Wed March 17 - Travel to Bela Horizonte and Salvador
Thur March 18 - Concert in Salvador at the University de Bahia (UFBA)
Fri March 19 - spend day at the church Igreja de Cristo volunteering and evening fellowship
Sat March 20 - Begin return trip
Sun March 21 - Homestays with the Port City Church of Christ in Mobile, AL
