The Bachelor of Science Degree in mathematics for teacher certification is designed to prepare students to be high school (grades 8-12) mathematics teachers. The Bachelor of Science Degree in middle school–mathematics is designed to prepare students to be middle school (grades 4-8) mathematics teachers. Both programs are based on the State Board of Educator Certification (SBEC) Standards and the Texas Examination of Educator Standards (TExES) competencies.
