Student Media and Agencies
The campus radio station is affiliated with National Public Radio and the Associated Press and serves listeners within a 60-mile radius. Students are employed as announcers and producers. The station is computer automated and boasts a CD music library and computerized broadcast newsroom.

The student-run multimedia production agency provides video and Web services for clients and special projects. Students direct, produce, shoot and edit projects including commercials, documentaries and informational videos. The 99 West office is equipped with hardware and software for all types of digital production. Students may work as assistants for the agency at any point or in management positions as upperclassmen.
Morris & Mitchell Student-run Ad/PR Agency
ACU's student-run advertising and public relations agency provides an opportunity for Ad/PR majors to work on creating real campaigns for real clients in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Projects have included a wide-range of ad/pr programs from multi-media ad campaigns to events, social media management and publicity campaigns. Juniors and Seniors hold all of the staff positions. Others may assist on individual projects as needed.
The university's student newspaper is published on Friday during the fall and spring semesters. The student staff is responsible for campus news, sports, photography, editorials, columns, editorial cartoons and features. Students also edit the copy, design the news pages, and sell and create advertisements. The lab broadsheet newspaper is paginated and produced camera-ready and delivered electronically to the Abilene Reporter-News where it is printed.

The Ken Collums Show
During the fall semester each year, the student media partners with the ACU Department of Athletics to produce a weekly football coach’s show. The Ken Collums Show is a 30-minute, student-produced program that features a student co-host, a staff co-host with several years of national professional sports reporting experience and ACU head football coach Ken Collums. It features highlights of each week’s games of the Div. 1 Wildcat football team as well as a weekly sportscast and news and feature packages on players, coaches and fans. It airs locally on Abilene ABC affiliate KTXS-TV and is available online.
