Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Convergence Journalism
The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Convergence Journalism prepares students for careers in print, broadcast or online journalism, with a broad liberal arts background that includes foreign language study. The BA degree easily combines with a second major in another field - such as English, history or political science, for example - that enables the student to specialize in another area of interest. Double majors can be advantageous when applying to jobs or graduate schools.
Students receive hands-on experience inside and outside the classroom through work in the JMC Network's converged media lab and on the staff of The Optimist, ACU's award-winning student newspaper with print, online and mobile versions. Graduates with the BA in Convergence Journalism often go on to successful careers as reporters, editors, anchors or producers for print, broadcast or online media.
