The JMC department at Abilene Christian University trains students to be excellent professional information gatherers and storytellers using the traditional and emerging tools of journalism, advertising, public relations and multimedia in print, video, online and mobile venues.

Through study, media and multimedia projects, professional organizations and co-curricular activities under the mentorship of Christian faculty, JMC students master the theoretical and practical foundations of their major fields in journalism and mass communication.

Tasha French Lemley ('00) | Journalism & Mass Communication

In a time when print publications are on the decline and screen publications are rapidly growing, a Nashville nonprofit relies on the sale of its newspaper to keep vendors going. The Contributor, a nonprofit in Nashville, Tenn., prints a twice-monthly "street newspaper." ACU graduate Tasha French Lemley ('00) founded this initiative as a way to provide the homeless of Nashville with a job they could be proud of that also meets their financial needs.
