Additional faculty responsibilities


• Advised three-hour projects required of the electronic media minor students. This involves coordinating the paperwork required, assisting some students in locating projects and/or sponsors, scheduling group meetings at the beginning of each semester for all project participants and meeting on an as needed basis with students. (1999-2001)
• Chaired and served on committees for graduate students in the Digital Media master’s program. (1998-2005)
• Direct the planning and implementation of the Converged Media Newsroom
• Advise Electronic Media majors and Digital Media minors in career planning.
• Actively served on committee to restructure the JMC curriculum to fit the media convergence model.
• Managed a team of students in planning and implementing a public relations campaign called Bandwidth Awareness Day to reduce the amount of illegal file sharing on campus. The campaign resulted in a 50 percent reduction in file sharing campus-wide.

• Served as co-chair of cross-departmental team governing ACU’s Web site
