Gutenberg Awards
The Gutenberg Award recognizes distinguished professional achievements of Journalism and Mass Communication Department alumni. Recipients of Gutenbergs must have been alumni for at least 10 years to be considered for the award. The selections are made by the faculty of the department.
Recipients are presented scale models of Gutenberg printing presses. (Gutenbergs were presented to JMC honorees beginning in 1993. The department annually honored in 1982-88 one outstanding JMC graduate before intiating the Gutenbergs.)
