Services to the Community:
The Center conducts research projects and provides other contract services for community agencies. Many organizations join the Center in co-sponsoring educational conferences and seminars for their constituents.
Additionally, a resource library is maintained to aid individuals in researching topics of interest in the field of aging. The Pruett Gerontology Center is active in assisting local congregations throughout the nation in developing ministries with the mature adults in the congregation.
Services to Churches:
The Center will provide information regarding curriculum, resource materials and workshops to encourage the local congregation to become active in this new frontier of ministry. We maintain a speakers bureau to aid churches in implementing any phase of their ministry to seniors.
We are committed to training dedicated workers to serve churches as senior adult ministers.
Additionally, we are active in helping churches develop senior adult housing alternatives and staffing those facilities with trained Christian workers.
