Work of literature, art or music you would recommend: Any work by J.D. Salinger, Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles, Pirsig's Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, and Wilder's Bridge of San Louis Rey. Any music by Nanci Griffith, Al Stewart, Michael Buble, Indigo Swing, or Frank Sinatra.
Person who influenced your life: Charles Anderson and Michael Kleine, Professors at UALR
Why you do what you do: I believe in teaching rhetoric and writing in a context that encourages faith integration.
What you want to give your students: a sense of empowerment over texts and an interest in community engagement.
What you expect from your students: Honesty; preparedness; respect.
Why you are at ACU: I wanted to teach in a Christian environment and I love Texas. I had many friends in my life who have attended ACU, and I am proud to be a part of her faculty.
Outside interests: Folk and big band music, British cars, travel in Spain and Greece.
