Guests on the ACU campus have included fiction writers Ray Bradbury and James Michener and poets Gwendolyn Brooks, Galway Kinnell, W. D. Snodgrass, and the late William Stafford. Texas writers who have visited ACU include Robert Flynn, Walter McDonald, Naomi Nye, and James Ward Lee. Our students also have the benefit of hearing writers who visit the other two Abilene universities.
