Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physics/Mathematics for Teacher Certification
The Bachelor of Science in Physics/Mathematics for high school teacher certification prepares students to teach high school (grades 8-12) physics and math. The degree features rigorous study in physics and mathematics study through the Department of Engineering and Physics and the Department of Mathematics, combined with hands-on teacher training through the Department of Teacher Education. Students are equipped to be exceptional teacher-scholars in physics and mathematics, who cultivate in their students a love and understanding of the laws that govern the physical world. Upon completion of this degree, students are prepared to pass the TExES state teacher certification exams for grade 8-12 physics/mathematics.
