Minor in Chemistry
A minor in chemistry requires 18 hours of chemistry including:
- General Chemistry, 8 hrs (CHEM 131-134)
- Organic Chemistry, 8 hrs (CHEM 221/223, 322/324)
- 2 hrs selected from CHEM 333-375, 413-454
BS Biology majors may receive a minor in chemistry by taking Biochemistry I (CHEM 453). The remaining 16 hours of chemistry are included in the BS Biology major requirements.
In addition to taking the required courses, students wishing to receive a minor in chemistry must complete a "Change of Program" form available in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department Office (Foster 256).
