Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biology
There are some students who have such broad interests that they wish to have a Biology degree with more flexibility. If this describes you, the B.A. degree in Biology is the ideal path to take. The B.A. degree offers the same career choices in health professions, cell and molecular biology, organismal biology, and biology/business, but the completion of the degree requires a reduced amount of science courses and an increased amount of courses in another one or two areas of your choice. For instance, if you really like foreign languages but want to be a biology major, the B.A. degree will enable you to both complete the biology degree and study other languages. Several students who are interested in medical missions follow this path, as it allows them to take the required science courses for professional school but also allows them to supplement their program with more Bible and missions courses. This is a quite flexible degree.
