Pebbles Lee

I have had amazing Christian mentors my entire life; people who took time for me, and loved me.  I can only hope to repay them in some small way by passing on that love to those around me, including the ACU students I help teach.

I grew up in five different western U.S. states. My father worked for years in the oil field industry and we moved often because of it. As a result I have what has been defined as military children traits; I make friends easily and am happy where ever I hang my hat.

I graduated from high school in Coleman, Texas. I received a Bachelor of Arts from Angelo State University, San Angelo, Texas in 1987. I have a unique degree in that I majored in government, and minored in chemistry. I was hired immediately upon graduation as the head technician of the Freshmen Biology Dept. at Texas A&M, because of my chemistry background. For two years I helped prepare labs in that department for 2,700 biology students weekly. I had six colleagues to give me lots of help! I then worked for another two years as the lab manager of a Wildlife Genetics lab at Texas A&M for Dr. Rodney Honeycutt. I assisted graduate students with their research, and worked on many genetics projects for Dr. Honeycutt, including quail, deer, cetaceans, and naked mole rats. During those 4 years at A&M, my husband earned his doctorate degree.

After my husband finished his doctorate, we moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. I worked again for two years as a lab manager and researcher in a Wildlife Genetics lab; this time at UNLV for Dr. Brett Riddle.

Our first daughter was born in 1993 just as my husband became a visiting professor at Pepperdine University. We have three daughters now, Isabel, Victoria, and Josephine. I became a professional momfor nine years focusing just on my daughters and their well being. We had truly wonderful times and I would not change one day, or that decision.

Now, I am Lab Coordinator for the Freshmen Biology Labs at ACU. I am working very hard to ensure our lab program is truly top quality.

I have had amazing Christian mentors my entire life; people who took time for me, and loved me. I can only hope to repay them in some small way by passing on that love to those around me, including the ACU students I help teach.
