We believe that art has a unique power to change our world, to make it a more beautiful, generous, rich, and open place. We are convinced that the world needs not only artists, but Christian artists who in their talent and power of creative expression proclaim the glory of the Creator.
Art & Design
ACU Art & Design students learn from award-winning artists who actively produce and exhibit their creative work. These artists are also experienced educators - educators who love to teach because they love what they teach; who teach by what they do as well as by what they say; who motivate, inspire, nurture, and mentor aspiring artists and designers. These faculty equip students to think creatively, to find creative solutions to difficult problems, to courageously accept challenges and overcome them, and to use their tools, skills, and passion to reflect God's creativity to the world.

Project Merge: Home makeover helps local family
For many students at ACU, service to the community has been an integral part of their college experience. Like any town, Abilene has plenty of people who just need a helping hand. A group of students in the Department of Art and Design have come up with a way to help out the best way they know how - by applying the skills learned in their classes.
