ACU All-school Rodeo Spring 2007
The ACU All-school Rodeo is held every year in April. It is not only an opportunity to show off our department, but gives many students from Urban areas the opportunity to participate in a once in a lifetime event. Students from the University participated in this year’s rodeo many from Social Clubs. There are three events in which girls can participate and three events in which the guys can participate. The girl’s events are Wild Goat Milking, Goat Dressing, and Calf Scramble. The boy’s events consist of Chute Doggin, Steer Wrestlin, and Wild Cow Milking. Each event has 4 four members on a team. We also had queen event where one girl from each social club compete to win a belt buckle. They had a surprise event where the girls had to ride a Hog. This year was the first time we held a roughie event for the boys where the boys from social clubs compete for a belt buckle. Many students who did not participate in the rodeo showed up to watch the events and to win door prizes such as gift cards to local restaurants and shops. Students from the Aggie club helped run the show by running the shoots, timing the events, and checking in registering contestants. We also had two of the most exciting clowns to entertain the crowd and the contestants. I look forward each year to the rodeo; it is Aggie Club's way to show off the many talents and gifts we can offer to ACU.
