Drs. Ed Brokaw, Kent Gallaher and Foy Mills attended the 53rd
annual NACTA conference held at the University
of Illinois,
Urbana-Champaign, June 20-22. The theme
of the conference this year was “The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.”
Dr. Gallaher presented a paper, authored by him and Dr. Mills entitled, “The Interdisciplinary Expansion of a Baccalaureate Environmental Science Program: Preliminary Outcomes.” The presentation generated considerable conversation among faculty members in attendance considering curriculum changes at their respective institutions.
Dr. Brokaw serves on the NACTA Journal Board as a reviewer, Dr. Gallaher is a member of the Book and Media Review committee and Dr. Mills continues service as Southern Region Director.
