A&E Attend the 79th FFA Convention in Corpus Christi
|
Dr. Kent Gallaher (Associate Professor of Environmental Science), Mandy Scudder (Administrative Assistant) and Emmy Clark (Animal Science and Agribusiness Major) represented the A&E department at the 79th annual FFA Convention in Corpus Christi, TX, July 9-12, 2007.
A total of 9,115 students and parents from the State of Texas registered for the convention. As a result many conversations ranging from degree plans, career opportunities, areas of study and encouragement to students was held in booth number 215. A&E was delighted to engage with students regarding career planning through studies within the department. Students not only engaged in conversation about careers, but also about what it means to study at a faith base university and how enriching it can be.
A&E is already planning for the 80th annual FFA Convention which will be held in Lubbock, TX, July 2008. The theme will be Ignite the Flame!
