2009 New Faculty Orientation

Welcome to Abilene Christian University.  We are looking forward to welcoming you to campus in person this fall.  We’re currently making preparations for New Faculty Orientation on August 13-14 and August 17, 2009.  On Thursday, August 13, we’ll be together from 8:15-4:15 with continental breakfast and lunch provided; on Friday, August 14, we’ll be together from 8:15 through lunch with a continental breakfast and lunch provided.  Spouses are invited to the Friday luncheon.

Then, on Monday morning, August 17, 9:00-noon, Human Resources will share important information with you regarding the ACU culture, HR Web resources, and benefits. For the HR session, you’ll need your social security card, driver’s license, and banking information for the completion of your I9, W4 and direct deposit information. You may have heard that ACU is an iPhone campus. As new faculty you are entitled to either an iPhone or iPod touch at no cost to you. Those interested in an iPhone will be required to purchase a personal AT&T Wireless plan (plan rates and fees can be obtained through AT&T); the iPod touch requires no ongoing financial commitment. All AT&T services can be obtained with a 15% discount.
