Acclaimed Authors Ron Hall and Denver Moore to Visit ACU September 9.
Hall and Moore are co-authors of Same Kind of Different As Me, the book chosen for the 2008 Freshman Common Reading.
Students who participate will meet for book discussion groups and other related activities. They will be exploring such themes as: wealth and poverty, homelessness, marital fidelity, forgiveness, friendship, faith, and prayer.
Mobile learning enhances the ACU experience. During the 2008 Welcome Week, freshmen at ACU were given their choice of
an Apple iPhone 3G or an iPod touch. This is a new and exciting opportunity to enhance student learning and interaction by adding a mobile dimension! Students and faculty will have the internet at their fingertips at every moment, allowing such activities as in-class polls, use of readily-available media sources in the classroom, and instant communication. ACU will be using the opportunity to continue research into the world of mobile learning and how it may better prepare students for success in the future.
The Adams Center has recently partnered with the ACU Green
Taskforce to help generate a broader awareness of the university’s efforts to reduce potential negative impact on the environment by living and working sustainably. Be sure to visit the new ACU Green website for more details.
