The Mabee Business Building was designed by Tittle Luther Loving, Architects of Abilene and built in 1986 by Rose and Sons, Inc., of Abilene. The building's name honors the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation of Tulsa, Okla., whose generous challenge grant of $2 million helped to make construction possible. Funding for the building came from more than 400 donors - alumni, friends, students and business leaders.
