Dr. Jean-Noel Thompson, Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students

Dr. Jean-Noel Thompson began serving as ACU's vice president and dean for student life in July 2007. His duties include providing leadership for the Campus Life division. Thompson works closely with many areas, including Student Organizations, Judicial Affairs, Volunteer and Service Learning Center, Campus Center, Residence Life Education and Housing, Leadership Development, Multicultural Enrichment, Counseling and Medical Service, Police and Public Safety and Spiritual Life.  

Since entering higher education, Thompson has served in variety of roles including vice president of student life at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix and earlier at Colorado State University. Before coming to ACU, he served as the vice president of student life and learning and dean of students at Grove City College in Grove City, Penn.

Thompson earned a bachelor's degree in organizational communication from Arizona State University, a master's degree in student affairs in higher education from Colorado State University and a doctorate in higher education and student affairs from Indiana University.

Thompson and his wife, Tonya, have four daughters and a son. They are active members at Southern Hills Church of Christ.
