Beloved Abilene Christian University chancellor emeritus and 8th president, Dr. John C. Stevens, 88, died at 12:20 a.m. May 1 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, said Dr. Royce Money, ACU president.
The Piersall Benton Funeral Home at 733 Butternut is handling the arrangements. Visitation for family and friends is 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, and services are scheduled at 1 p.m. Saturday at University Church of Christ.
