Dr. Phil Schubert, CPA, was named executive vice president in 2007. He had served as vice president for finance for seven years. Schubert is responsible for enrollment management, all financial operations of the university, the implementation of strategic plans related to the 21st Century Vision, and external partnerships.
He also previously served the university as development officer, director of student financial services and assistant to the executive vice president.
Schubert is a 1991 graduate of Abilene Christian with a B.B.A. in accounting. Before joining the ACU staff in 1993, Schubert was an auditor for Arthur Andersen & Co. in Dallas. He is a board member and former treasurer of Information Associates of Texas, and he is a member of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, the American Institute of CPAs, Texas Society of CPAs and the National Association of College and University Business Officers. He also is a member of Highland Church of Christ.
A native of Houston, Schubert is married to the former Jamie Rhoden, and the couple has three children: Sydnie, Mason and Ella.
